About Valorant Data Lab
Data-driven insights to help you win more Valorant matches
Our Mission
Valorant Data Lab exists to give players a competitive edge through real match data — not guesswork, not tier lists, not opinions. We analyze thousands of competitive matches to answer one question: which agent actually wins against which?
What We Do
1
Collect Match Data
We track competitive matches from registered players across all regions, gathering detailed round-by-round outcomes and agent performance data.
2
Analyze Matchups
Our system computes head-to-head agent win rates, map-specific performance, and team synergy scores from real competitive data.
3
Provide Recommendations
Using our analytics, we recommend optimal counter-picks, highlight agent synergies, and surface insights you can use in your next match.
Our Data Methodology
We collect match data through the Henrik API, which provides read-only access to public Valorant competitive match records. When a player registers their Riot ID on our site, we periodically fetch their latest competitive matches.
From each match, we extract:
- Agents played by all 10 players
- Round-by-round outcomes (wins/losses per side)
- Final match scores and map played
This data is processed to compute agent-vs-agent win rates, map-specific statistics, and team composition analytics. All statistics are aggregate — we look at patterns across thousands of matches, not individual performance.
Data Sources
- Henrik API — Public match data retrieval from Riot Games' Valorant
- valorant-api.com — Agent images, ability icons, and game asset data
The Team
Valorant Data Lab is built and maintained by a small team of Valorant players and developers who wanted better data to inform their agent picks. What started as a personal project grew into a community tool used by players looking for a data-driven competitive edge.
